Everyone in Hollywood wears wigs, pieces, extentions…from blacks to hispanics to whites. If I was in Hollywood I would wear them too. Just think about all the chemicals, heat and styling that these celebrities would have to go through. It would surely damage your hair over time. Celebrities have to look glamorous!!

I couldn’t care less If you spoke for me or not-your implication that Tyra looks PRETTIER with weaves rather than with her own natural hair [which is still permed by the way] shows me how SUCCESSFULLY BRAINWASHED some our people are when it comes to beauty standards. Then again I guess by wearing a blonde hair weave, stupid stererotypical dumb blonde comments like the first one by Ehisha20 would result. :(
Oh yeah! i wear weaves, i braid, sometimes on my naturl hair, just depends on the day and occassion….I am full blooded African and in Africa, wearing weaves is not an issue…It’s every where on the streets….lol! I spoke for myself….Not for you…

@FTHOSC I tend to want to agree with you. When Tyra got bigger she was attempting to stand against Hollywood’s typical stereotypes. But she gave in because there is a lot of pressure in Hollywood to look a certain way and when you don’t look the way they want, you would easily be booted out and your chances for the good jobs would be greatly diminished. I’m surprised people in Tyra’s socio-economic class isn’t able to completely call her own shots concerning her weight and the way she looks.
um, i don’t see your point? so what if its gelled back? the point is that its all her hair. and it was about time, i was getting tired of that shameful tyra wig
she kinda copped out at the end, with her natural hair, it was all scraped back off her face and gelled like, who would go out like that?
I’m so disappointed with her =( Not because she lost weight, that’s her decision, but with the way she made out like when she was slightly bigger she was in some way unhealthy? And this whole “I stayed that way for two years”, like it was a bad thing. It just seems like she’s gone back on everything she’s said and taking back the empowerment she’s given other women =(
