I’m just trying to figure out why I’m craving Ice Cream!! and when P.m.s roles around I just wanna eat and sleep ….Is there no way around this viscious cycle?!

Disagree with time period during the day in which you sleep, so long as you sleep the correct number of hours it shouldn’t matter what section of the day so long as your body is used to it.
I have a completely flipped sleep pattern and am trying desperatly to loose weight and sleep more but I’ts really difficult.

ok i agree you need sleep least 8 hours. i work out 6x a week. i get my full 8 hours of sleep, and i wake up feeling great. i am in one of the best shapes of my life i am @ 6.5% body fat i eat healthy fruits veggies.
but this whole light bulb thing. no. there is no time our bodies go through these phases. u so call it. sleeping is sleeping and the body takes it from there. forcing yourself to stay up late is one thing. to have a routine is another. i like your vids but i disagree with this 1

As I thought – he doesn’t have any qualifications to talk about this and nutrition – he’s basically a personal trainer calling himself an ‘expert’ in other fields. I’m qualified as a personal trainer with YMCA and NASM – not what I do for a living; it’s dead easy to get qualified and means nothing – kinesiology from san diego state has virtually no nutrition in it if you look, the other ‘qualifications’ are jokes

I spend a lot of time reading scientific papers and research conducted on anything to do with nutrition and sports. The fact you havent heard of Alan Aragon means you have zero opinion.
@AmusingYeti One more thing; it’s fundamentally dishonest to use an emotional topic like weight loss (especially for fat people) and use it to market your video on sleep which doesn’t really have much to do with it. That’s why this beanpole is such a penisface.
@AmusingYeti No it’s not important for fat loss. You won’t be in a plateau because you’re sleeping 6 odd hours a night because you have a tough job. Look I realise this twat in the video has quite a following and you probably are one of his fanboys, but most of the videos on diet and exercise I’ve seen of his are total crap and very misleading. It’s clear to me this guy has no qualifications to talk about these subjects.

Diet and exercise are the key components to fat loss. Shaun made a video about this so why hate on him. Then we come to sleep. Look at Alan Aragons’ articles and papers. I cant find the one he did on sleep and i should have saved it! Sleep is very important. Not just the amount but the type and timing.
@alickamoso1 Sorry…what do you think I said exactly? Reread. Diet and exercise is all you need to control for fat loss. Lack of sleep i.e. less than 5/6 hours on a regular basis can decrease test levels, increase cortisol levels slightly (depending on the person of course) which won’t help fat loss. If you’re getting that level of sleep, you don’t need some anorexic braindead manwoman telling you, forget fat loss – you’re exhausted – you KNOW you need more!
This guy really knows his stuff. He’s touching on things that humanity is a whole, doesn’t seem to realise, despite the huge and almost instant change in modern society and techonology compared to say, only 100 years ago. Our biological nature cannot adapt to such drastics changes in so short an amount of time.
Personally, I believe the huge incline in cancer over the last century to be directly related to this issue.

Ok, so you think that people and animals dont have specific sleep cycles? That bears dont have to hibernate in the winter, that it doesnt matter how much sleep we get. That it doesnt matter that people are sleeping when the sun is up and working when the sun is down? Yeah, your theory sounds way more plausible than sean’s.
BUT I WORK THE NIGHTSHIFT/ 1045-730, I REALLY CANT BE ASLEEP AT THOSE HOURS…….
